Celebrate Europe through choral singing, EuroChoir is a unique choral event organised by the European Choral Association – Europa Cantat every year in a different country. Initiated by AGEC in 1982, EuroChoir offers the opportunity to 60 young singers to get together for 8 days to rehearse a challenging program with two renowned conductors, improve their vocal skills with a vocal trainer and present the results of their work in public concerts. This special choir project aims to promote European choral music among young singers and to encourage cultural exchange within Europe.
The first session took place in Innsbruck, Austria, and was then chosen to make it itinerant, on an annual basis, and to implement it in collaboration with the national federation.
FENIARCO organised the 2016 session of the Eurochoir which took place in San Vito al Tagliamento, Italy, at the seat of the association and in 2018 will involve the cities of Helsinki (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia) during the 20th edition of the Festival Europa Cantat.
EuroChoir offers the opportunity to 60 young singers between 18 and 30 to get together from several countries. The young singers
I giovani study together for a week and then perform in a series of concerts with the repertoire learned during the stage. In addition to the extraordinary educational and artistic value, the project has a strong cultural and social connotation: the individual participants are in fact considered cultural ambassadors of their country.
Eurochoir 2018 represents the last step of a three-year program (2016-2018) born from the collaboration between the national choral federations of Italy, Holland and Finland, who share their artistic choices, the conductors and the organization. The conductors chosen for the next edition are Mikko Sidoroff (FI) and Maria van Nieukerken (NL).

Those wishing to join the EuroChoir staff can apply as follows:
> through Feniarco: the national federation will collect, by 20 March 2018, the applications of the young choristers involved and select a quartet - SATB - that will be recommended directly by Feniarco to the European federation. To participate simply send an email to info@feniarco.it attaching the requested documents here below. Entrance through the national federation will have more weight than individual participation.
